Instructional Support - Faculty Course Development
Cindy Riche is available to work with all faculty on incorporating tech components into your teaching. Cindy can meet with you to discuss your options and show you examples of previous and current course websites in the School. Then she will work with you to create your course website, including those components you want to use in your course. Cindy is available to come into your course during the quarter (usually very early in the quarter), to teach your students how to use any of the available online components. These may include:
- Online Discussion Boards
- Listservs (Email distribution lists)
- Audio or Video content on your course website
- Chatrooms
- Online Quizzes
- Online posting of documents for students to comment on each other’s work
- Other tech components that evolve as technology evolves
There are a variety of combinations of these components that you may choose, or you may choose to use very few components. Each course will be different. Please contact Cindy Riche at richec@u.washington.edu, or via phone at 543-0566 to talk about what options you might want to use.
