Course Objectives
Upon completion of this sequence, students will be able to:

- Identify pertinent factors that influence the etiology of substance abuse,

- Identify multiple approaches to assessment and diagnosis of substance abuse,

- Skillfully conduct an initial assessment interview
- Identify key approaches and strategies in substance abuse interventions

- Understand the fundamental principles and frameworks associated with self-help
