CSWE Gero-Ed Center: National Center for Gerontological Social Work Education
The Council on Social Work Education Gero-Ed Center National Center for Gerontological Social Work Education), funded for three years by the John A. Hartford Foundation of New York City, is part of an exciting initiative to "gerontologize" accredited social work programs throughout the United States. "Gerontologizing" these programs includes embedding gerontological competencies into the foundation curriculum and the overall organizational structure of social work programs. It includes curriculum enrichment resources such as gerontological social work competencies, curriculum change strategies, and teaching tools as well as publications, research and reports, and links to aging-related websites.
