The Hague Domestic Violence Project

This study aims to better understand the experiences of women who have come into the United States with their children after leaving an abusive relationship and who then become involved in a legal dispute under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of Child Abduction.

The Hague Convention Study Seeks Volunteers:

• Are you a woman who left an abusive partner in another country, came to the U.S. with your children, and were then involved with a Hague Convention court case?
  
  
• Are you an attorney who represented either a petitioner or a respondent in a Hague Convention case involving violence in a U.S. court?
  
  
• Are you a judge who has presided over a Hague Convention case involving allegations of adult domestic violence?

Women who have been involved with a Hague Convention case who agree to be a part of the study and complete two to three interviews will be paid up to $125 for their participation. Attorneys who agree to participate and complete interviews will be paid $100.
