Three SSW Students Honored for Their Contributions to Stephen Lewis Foundation

Rehema Abdi, BASW '08, Marci Brajcich, MSW student, and Morna MacEachern, doctoral student, were honored for their contributions to the Stephen Lewis Foundation, whose mission is to ease the pain of HIV/AIDS in Africa, at a reception with Stephen Lewis in Vancouver, BC on June 26. Stan deMello, Director of the Community Service Learning Program and Co-Director of Practicum, also attended. "So much of this is thanks to the tireless efforts of Patsy George--a truly remarkable social worker who continues to inspire all the folks she meets," he said. Stan has brought this stellar Canadian social worker into the practicum program as an instructor.
