Peter Pecora, is senior director of research services for the Casey Family Programs and professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Washington is lead author on the team which includes Jim Whittaker, the Charles O. Cressey Endowed Professor Emeritus, School of Social Work, University of Washington, and colleagues from the University of Connecticut (Anthony Maluccio), the University of Maryland (Richard Barth and Diane DePanfilis) along with Bob Plotnick from the Daniel Evans School of Public Affairs, University of Washington, who contributed a chapter on economic security for children and families. Since its original edition in 1992, the text has been widely used in child & family policy and services courses in MSW programs throughout North America.
