Laura van Dernoot Lipsky, MSW '94, Publishes Trauma Stewardship

Trauma Stewardship, by Laura van Dernoot Lipsky, MSW '94, was published by Las Olas Press in Summer 2007. The foreword to the book was written by Professor Jon Conte of the UWSSW.

The book’s subtitle is An everyday guide to caring for self while caring for others.

In the introduction, van Dernoot Lipsky and her co-author, Connie Burk, write: "This book is written for anyone who is doing work with an intention to make the world more sustainable and hopeful—all in all, a better place—and who, through their work, is exposed to the hardship, pain, crisis, trauma, or suffering of other living beings or the planet."
