Rona Levy Receives Four-Year NIH Grant

Dr. Rona Levy, Professor in the School of Social Work, has received a grant for a four-year study called Psychosocial Intervention for Children with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). The grant was awarded by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development of the National Institutes of Health. The study will test an intervention designed to improve the overall health and functioning of children with IBD. "It furthers our work on intergenerational factors in children's response to illness from disorders of unknown etiology," says Dr. Levy, "to an often debilitating serious chronic physiological disease."
