Study by Alumna Janice Sabin Finds Doctors Unconsciously Prefer White Patients

Janice Sabin, MSW '01, PhD '06, who is Acting Assistant Professor in UW's Department of Medical Education and Biomedical Informatics, is the author of the first study of its kind to examine possible unconscious bias among physicians. But Sabin explains that the study's results don't imply discrimination.
