The MSW program offered at the University of Washington Tacoma is an accredited program option of the School of Social Work developed primarily to serve the needs of place-bound students in the south Puget Sound region. The Tacoma program offers two part-time MSW options, a three-year part-time evening MSW program, and Advanced Standing MSW Program.
Courses meet one or two evenings per week along with required practicum components. After the professional foundation curriculum is completed (three-year MSW only), an advanced curriculum in children, youth, and families (CYF) is offered.
Application to the Tacoma program is made directly to the program using a separate application packet. All application materials are available online. For further information, please contact the Tacoma Social Work Program Office at 253-692-5820, tsocial@u.washington.edu, or www.tacoma.washington.edu/social.
