Social Work Research and Teaching Portfolios

  • Teaching portfolio should contain copies of any syllabi you've prepared, course materials and evaluations.
When working as a teaching assistant with senior faculty, ask them to provide letters of reference for your portfolio evaluating your work in their course.
  • Research portfolio should contain any papers under review/in press/published or other relevant research materials and data.

Working with Catalyst

The Catalyst Portfolio tool allows you to collect, annotate, arrange, and display a variety of digital artifacts (files) that illustrate your accomplishments throughout your years at the University of Washington. This collection can be organized into portfolios, and published on the Web. Access to the web sites are fully in your control. This is free data storage!

Portfolio can also be a useful tool for you as a teaching. You can set up an invited portfolio web site for students in your class to use to submit materials.
