BASW

BA in Community, Leadership, and Social Justice (BACLSJ)
Undergraduate Program in Social Welfare.

Application Deadline June 1st

The Undergraduate Program in Social Welfare

The undergraduate program in the School of Social Work offers two majors: a bachelor of arts in social welfare (BASW), which is a practice degree, and a bachelor of arts in community, leadership, and social justice (BACLSJ). The BASW is offered on both our Seattle and Tacoma campuses. The CLSJ major has recently been added to the program for students on our Seattle campus who are interested in developing and applying knowledge in social welfare, but who are considering pathways other than a traditional practice degree. The CLSJ major is pending formal approval by the state. Both programs offer study abroad opportunities and mentoring from experienced professionals and social welfare faculty.
