Celebrate AANHPI Heritage Month with UW SWAPI through a student, faculty and staff art and story showcase. This is a school wide event and open to those outside of SWAPI. This event will be held in SSW room 305B on Thursday, May 9, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

2024 School of Social Work Graduation Celebration
The School of Social Work 2024 graduation will be held Thursday, June 6 at 7 p.m. at the Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion. The program will include welcoming remarks from Dean Michael Spencer, recognition awards, student performances, conferral of student degrees, and an inspiring presentation from our keynote speaker, Yvonne Dupuis Peterson (Chehalis).

2024 SSW Graduation Speaker
Yvonne Dupuis Peterson (Chehalis), sixth generation weaver and professor of Indigenous Studies at The Evergreen State College, is the School of Social Work's keynote speaker for the 2024 graduating class. Ms. Peterson was awarded the Peace and Friendship Award from the Washington State Historical Society, the Enduring Spirit Award from the Native Action Network, and was a Kettering Scholar from 2005 to 2008.
