Ambulatory Surgery Clerkship
Seattle Children's | Group Health | Madigan | Mary Bridge
- Recognize and discuss the ambulatory problems common to the surgical specialty, including the ability to formulate a differential diagnosis and develop a plan to establish the diagnosis.
- Identify and differentiate acute problems needing immediate attention versus those that are more chronic in nature.
- Develop knowledge of when a problem might be managed by the primary care doctor versus when a problem is best referred to a surgical specialist.

- telephone or pager number
- whether you have completed an Orders Online (CPOE) classroom or web-based training class at Children's
NOTE: All medical students are required to complete the CPOE web-based training prior to the start of their elective at Children's Hospital. Patient contact is not allowed until CPOE training and all required paperwork in Children's GME office has been completed.

She will provide you with the necessary information for this rotation. In addition, student rotation is subject to review of the MultiCare Health System Policy and Procedure for Patient Confidentiality and Privacy Agreement.
