DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
5.) How would you define diverticulosis? What is the possible etiology?

Diverticulosis denotes the presence of diverticula. The possible etiology is that with increased intraluminal pressure (high fat, low fiber diet), herniations of the mucosa occur through points of the bowel wall weakened by entry of blood vessels.
