A 32 year old with severe right sided abdominal pain

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
5.) What laboratory tests should be done?

Laboratory tests:
  1. Urinalysis and urine for culture and sensitivity: up to 25% do not have hematuria
  2. CBC
  3. Chemistries including calcium, creatinine, and uric acid.
  4. If abnormal chemistries or a patient at high risk, 24 hour urine for calcium, oxalate, magnesium, phosphorus, uric acid, and creatinine.
