Bio:  
Mr. Brown has been at the University of Washington UW TechTransfer for 12 years. For the last 4 years Mr. Brown has been the Director of the Finance and Business Operations group within UW TechTransfer where he manages the group responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, contract management, and royalty distributions. The integration and maintenance of a system-wide database is also under FBO. He was with the licensing group for 8 years managing a large portfolio of medical device related technologies where his responsibilities included evaluating inventions for novelty and commercial value, marketing the technologies, and negotiating licenses with commercial entities. Prior to working at UW TechTransfer, Mr. Brown worked at Abbott Laboratories for six years as a product development engineer to develop medical devices using optically based chemical sensors.
