Bio:  
Following my undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering, I worked as a lab technician at the UW in the Dept. of Medical Genetics and then went on to pursue my doctorate in cell biology and biotechnology. After a brief post-doc at the University of Virginia I joined a local Washington biotech start-up called Combimatrix. I worked there for 3 years as an applications scientist which encompassed creating new applications for DNA microarrays, bench science, robotics, product integration and performance, business development, training, materials science, and marketing. To continue to pursue these varied interests I joined UW TechTransfer in May of 2004. When I am not in the office you are most likely to find me playing outdoors or traveling overseas.
