The UW Field School at Tel Dor includes one field trip to northern Israel, usually organized for the end of the second week. On private Egged busses and accompanied by our experienced Egged guide, we will visit Manara, a kibbutz on the border with Lebanon (and the home of “Extreme Mountain Sledding”); take a rafting trip down the Jordan (followed by lunch); visit Capernaum (home of St. Peter and the glorious White Synagogue); and take a dip in the Kinneret, or Sea of Galilee. This amazing, educational, and fun-filled day trip is offered at no extra cost to UW Field School participants.and lunch is included.
Participants who wish to travel elsewhere in Israel are free to organize weekend trips at their own expense. Tel-Aviv, Akko, Jerusalem, and the Dead Sea are all reasonable weekend destinations and have been popular in previous seasons. Have questions about how to travel in Israel? Ask us!
