A student pitches his ad layout for the new Volkswagen van - a throwback to the good old days.

Some students chose to emphasize the specific elements in their advertisement, and their appeal to the target audience, on the trade show piece itself.

At times, the audience was difficult to persuade.

Many different formats were used in development of trade show presentations, including the web.

This student created both a magazine ad and radio spot for his relaunch of the soft drink "Orbitz."

The two students on the left produced a television spot for "Life" soda. The black and white image was enhanced with depressing music until the main character bought a "Life" soda from the school vending machine. Then rock music began, the picture went to color, and WOW! Everyone wanted to be his friend! The pun is so obvious I'll let you say it.

Students took the evaluator role seriously, asking probing questions about messages in the ads.

This jumbled billboard idea was called "Reverse Bacardi." Outside the bottle are pictures of young people having good times, while inside the "RUM" bottle (made from a two liter plastic soda bottle) there are black and white images of depressed-looking folks with words like "hurts" and "killed." Bacardi advertisements provide the opposite image to their target audience.

These three made me promise I'd use their picture - notice the forced smile on the right.
