Thomas Lockwood wins Robert Lowry Patten Award
The editors of SEL Studies in English Literature 1500-1900 have announced the second annual Robert Lowry Patten Award, this year for the most outstanding recent contribution to Restoration and eighteenth-century British literary studies, will go to Textual Studies Program participating faculty member Thomas Lockwood (English) for his Henry Fielding Plays, Vol. 3: 1734-1742 (Oxford UP). The judges for the 2013 award selected Professor Lockwood’s edition out of an exceptional field of 195 qualifying publications. The award will be presented at a ceremony and reception hosted by SEL at the annual convention of the Modern Language Association Convention in January.
