Study Instructions

If you are new to Telemakus, or would like to re-familiarize yourself with the system, check out the Telemakus Demo before proceeding with the study. The demo will open in a second browser window on top of the study window. When you are finished with the demo, simply close that window to return to this study window
To ensure that you have the capability to use the concept mapping feature of Telemakus, visit the Java test page. Be sure to scroll down the test page to read all the instructions, which include a link to the site for downloading the software free of charge. NOTE: You may complete the study without Java, but you will not be able to generate concept maps from your search queries. Test for Java capability.

Close all browser windows except this one.
Maximize your browser window for better viewing of the study Web pages.
Keep this main study browser window open during the study.
Do not open multiple windows or tabs in the study site.
If your exploration in Telemakus takes you outside of Telemakus, you may have to use the browser back button in order to return to the Telemakus screens and access the post-survey.
