Tobacco control advocates have made enormous gains over the last 50 years. However, tobacco addiction remains the number one cause of disease, disability, and death, worldwide — and the world needs well-prepared professionals to tackle it.

For more than a decade, the University of Washington (UW) Tobacco Studies Program (TSP) courses have been taught to over 350 matriculated students and auditors, and over 500 unique drop-in visitors. Additionally, over 1,000 unique health and medical professionals have attended UW TSP-sponsored seminars and continuing education courses.
