Seminar on Health Disparities: The Case of Tobacco (HSERV 556)

Gary Giovino Dr. Giovino’s research interests focus on patterns, determinants, consequences, and control of tobacco use; which are part of a more general focus on disease prevention and health promotion. For most of his ten years of service at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Giovino served as the Chief of the Epidemiology Branch in the Office on Smoking and Health. He is currently Professor and Acting Chair if the Department of Health Behavior and Research Professor in the Department of Social and Prevention Medicine at the University of Buffalo School of Public Health and Health Professions.
