Working with Audio (Updated!)
Sound can make a Web page more interactive and entertaining. For some topics, sound can be an essential element of the Site. In this section, we help you find sounds on the Web and show you how to include them in your Web pages.
TRIO Quest Fair Use Guidelines apply to the PhotoEssay, Media Quest, and TRIO ThinkQuest.
Under fair use, students do not need to get permission to use copyrighted music or audio, as long as:
- for each song or audio clip, students may use up to 10 percent of the work, but no more than 30 seconds.
- for each song or audio clip, students must provide a citation with a link to the audio source.
NOTE: In the Oracle ThinkQuest International Competition, students may not use ANY copyrighted materials, inlcuding music and audio clips, without permission from the owner of the copyright.
