Citing Permissions on a Web Site
Once you have obtained permission to use material created by someone else on your Web site, you will need to credit the author next to the material and cite the permission on your Web site's Works Cited/Permissions page. Be sure to keep a copy of the permission for your records.
Crediting the Author: Underneath or next to the material, credit the author and provide a link to the source if appropriate. For example:

Citing the Permission:
When citing your permission, include:
- A brief description of the material.
- Address of the page on your Web site containing the material.
- Name of the Web site where you found the material.
- Address of the Web site where you found the material.
- Name of the person you contacted.
- Date permission was granted.
- The format of the permission request (email, letter, phone conversation, etc.).
If you have created your own images, credit yourself next to the image and include yourself in the list of permissions.
Use the Permissions Citation Template below for help citing Permissions (This is a fictitious example).
