2009 Early PhotoEssay Competitions
TWO Early 2009 PhotoEssay Competitions
Note: All PhotoEssays submitted through April 10, 2009 were judged in the early competitions.
1. Early PhotoEssay Competition (for all Programs and Regions)
• Entries due April 10
• Rubric the same as for the August competition
• All TRIO programs eligible
• All Rules apply for judging. (NOTE: One entry per student permitted. Programs do not need to select their top 3 PhotoEssays for this early competition.)
• Winners acknowledged by May 15 on the TRIO Quest website
• Contact trio@u.washington.edu with questions or for assistance
• Entries due April 18, 2009, 5:00 PM PDT. TRIO Quest announces that the Puerto Rico special PhotoEssay Competition is extended to the date above. This change is the result of confusion over the deadline amongst programs in Puerto Rico. (NOTE: The Early Deadline PhotoEssay competition for all other TRIO programs continues to be April 10, 2009, 5:00 PM PDT.)
• Puerto Rican students (those from Puerto Rican TRIO programs) submit in Spanish with English translation included (help with translation must be acknowledged in the citation portion of the submission)
• Rubric the same as for the August competition
• Spanish Rubric available
• All Rules apply for judging. (NOTE: One entry per student permitted. Programs do not need to select their top 3 PhotoEssays for this early competition.)
• One judge from Puerto Rico on each judging team
• Winners acknowledged at the CATP regional association meeting (approximately April 28, 2009)
