Student PhotoEssay
The PhotoEssay activity provides a short, simple, creative activity for all TRIO students. It is an effective way to:
- introduce students to the compelling interaction possible between text and image,
introduce students to image manipulation, - provide students a chance to be published on the Web,
promote a better understanding of intellectual honesty and citation, and - encourage research, reflection, and creative work by TRIO students.
The Photo Essay is open to all TRIO students in all TRIO programs. It is an activity in which students create their own individual PhotoEssay, with appropriate support and direction by staff and other advisors.

Rules, Rubric, and Entry Instructions for the 2010 competition will be available in January.
Summer 2009 PhotoEssay Competition - Winners Announced!
Programs submited their Top 3 PhotoEssays to the competition for national judging. Note: All PhotoEssays submitted through April 10, 2009 were judged in the early competitions. PhotoEssays submitted from May 1 - August 10, 2009 were judged in the summer competition.
