TRIO Training

Training on: Record keeping, APRs, and evaluation (Priority 1) and student needs assessment, retention and graduation strategies, and ed tech (Priority 3).

  • Online Training: Interactive multimedia presentations with audio and text transcripts on all training topics.
    Fill out the Online Training Application Form to create an account.

  • Onsite Trainings: Describes available onsite training opportunities and topics and provides resources for trainees.
    Fill out the Onsite Training Application Form to apply.

 


TRIO Quest

Complete rules and rubrics for each student technology activity, entry instructions a gallery of past winners, and resources to support student participation. Participants need to "Register for a TRIO Quest Account" on the etrio.org servers. This will also allow access to eTRIO Resources.

  • MediaQuest: A free activity for all TRIO students in all TRIO Programs to share their vision by creating and uploading individual audio and video projects.

  • PhotoEssay: A free activity that provides a short, simple, creative activity open to all TRIO students in all TRIO programs in which students create their own individual PhotoEssay.

  • TRIO ThinkQuest: A free activity open to pre-college students ages 12-19 who are active participants in an Upward Bound, Talent Search Program, or EOC Program. Students work in teams of three to six to build Web sites that can be used as learning tools by other students.

  • Oracle ThinkQuest International: Information and resources for TRIO students and coaches to help them enter their websites into the ThinkQuest International Competition.

TRIO Virtual Center

Resources for trainees, tutorials for staff and students, links to useful Web resources for TRIO, education and tech news, and free Data Wizards.

  • TRIO Training Topics: Resources on our current training topics: Assessment of Student Needs, Record Keeping, Graduation & Retention, Reporting Student and Project Performance (APRs), Evaluation, and Educational Technology.

  • TRIO Quest Tutorials: Resources, links, and tutorials for all TRIO Quest participants in PhotoEssay, MediaQuest, TRIO ThinkQuest, and OracleThinkQuest International.

  • Web Resources: An extensive collection of links to tutorials, activities, news, and resources of interest to the TRIO community.

  • Online Training Portal: Access to online resources including the latest education and technology news and free Data Wizards for Needs Assessment, Evaluation Planning, and Tracking Student Services.
