Dr. Herendeen earned his doctoral degree in Biology at UC San Diego.  As a Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation fellow, he performed his postdoctoral studies at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. Dr. Herendeen has several years of experience performing cancer research in both academic and biotechnology laboratories. As part of the Tumor Vaccine Group, he is currently focused on developing multi-antigen vaccines to prevent breast cancer.
