Rachel graduated in 2010 from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. She joined the Tumor Vaccine Group as a student lab assistant and was involved in the discovery of important tumor antigens in breast cancer to improve diagnosis and early detection biomarkers of the disease. Currently, she is working under Dr. Elizabeth Broussard on projects to identify colon cancer antigens for a potential vaccine to inhibit the relapse or progression of the disease. Her research interests are tumor immunology, therapeutic and prophylactic peptide specific vaccines in colorectal cancer.
