Taking the Bus

Most patients are seen in the CRC at the University of Washington.

The CRC is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to provide facilities and resources for peer-reviewed clinical studies. Their goal is to play a major role in facilitating scientific advances which will impact broadly across all human health. They are here to serve our volunteer research subjects, investigators, and the public. The GCRC helps investigators conduct research with human subjects under the highest standards of safety.

The CRC is located in the South Tower (Pacific Elevators) of the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC). Once inside the UWMC, look for signs to the Pacific Elevators and take the elevator to the seventh floor. Exit to the right and take a second right.

You will see the Clinical Research Center sign and reception desk, where you can check in.

Merge onto WA-518 E toward I-5/Seattle/Tacoma/I-405.

Merge onto I-5 N via the exit on the left toward Seattle.

Take Exit #168B toward Bellevue/Kirkland onto WA-520 E.

Take the first exit off WA-520 to Montlake Boulevard.

Turn left onto Montlake Blvd E. and continue north.

When at the first traffic light after the bridge, turn left onto NE Pacific Street and stay to your right.

Turn right at the second "hospital parking" directional sign onto NE Pacific Place.

Then immediately turn right again into the entrance (Gate #4 on the map) to the Triangle Parking Garage, an underground facility connected via a pedestrian tunnel to the medical center.

Take Exit #168B toward Bellevue/Kirkland onto WA-520 E.

Take the first exit off WA-520 to Montlake Boulevard.

Turn left onto Montlake Blvd E. and continue north.

When at the first traffic light after the bridge, turn left onto NE Pacific Street and stay to your right.

Turn right at the second "hospital parking" directional sign onto NE Pacific Place.

Then immediately turn right again into the entrance (Gate #4 on the map) to the Triangle Parking Garage, an underground facility connected via a pedestrian tunnel to the medical center.

Take the Montlake Boulevard exit.

Continue north on Montlake Blvd. and cross the drawbridge.

When at the first traffic light after the bridge, turn left onto NE Pacific Street and stay to your right.

Turn right at the second "hospital parking" directional sign onto NE Pacific Place.

Then immediately turn right again into the entrance (Gate #4 on the map) to the Triangle Parking Garage, an underground facility connected via a pedestrian tunnel to the medical center.

Upon entering the garage, take a parking ticket from the parking gate.

Bring the ticket to your appointment.

We will provide you with a parking validation sticker.

You will give the ticket to the cashier upon exiting the garage.

Follow signs to the Main Medical Center. You will enter the Medical Center on the third floor.

Take the Pacific Tower Elevators to floor 7.

Exit to the right off the elevators and take an immediate right down the hall toward the Clinical Research Center.

Other Notes: The main entrance to the hospital is on the third floor.
