Rachel Kim

Ms. Kim is currently working on her biochemistry major and is a Junior at the University of Washington. She believes that not all things can be learned in a classroom, and the best way to learn is through experience, research is crucial in enhancing education. Rachel is excited and honored to be a part of the research to find multi-antigen tumor vaccines for breast and ovarian cancer by identifying tumor biomarkers (i.e. differentiating non-cancerous antigens from antigens that are connected to cancer which is a brilliant concept). Cancer research is a fascinating field and she intends to learn as much as possible and acquire crucial lab techniques that are not available in a classroom along the way.
