Constrained 3D Navigation with 2D Controllers

The idea behind constrained 3D navigation is to set up a series of viewpoints or possible camera path that the user will have to follow. The authors give a series of example demonstrating how constrained navigation can help the user to find or focus on what they are suppose to see. Examples are shown in various fields such as terrain navigation, molecule navigation or architectural interior navigation.

The paper describes briefly the basic components of the implementation of such a system.
