Configuring Microsoft FrontPage

The first step is to configure FrontPage to generate pages that will work on a wide variety of browsers. Be sure to save this sheet since you will need to verify these settings for each lab since the UW students who normally use this lab might change them. Trust us, it is worth your time to check!

1. Open MS FrontPage (FP). Go to the Tools menu and choose Page Options….

2. Click on the Compatibility tab. Choose the following settings for the Compatibility tab:

3. Click on the HTML Source tab. Choose the following settings for the HTML Source tab:

4. Now we will make sure that menus and toolbars will all look the same for everyone. Open MS FrontPage (FP). Go to the Tools menu and choose Customize…. Choose the following settings for the Customize tab:
