CURRENT PROJECTS:
Upward Bound Program and Volunteer Services in UW.
In the Upward Bound Program, I'm taking a lecture class, Technology 1, I have a discussion lab, dance, Math, and Language Arts. I'm interested in the topics that the professors talk about, like the human genetic make-up, and DNA.
In the Volunteer Services, I volunteer as an escort in the University of Washington Hospital. What I do is I help transfer patients in a wheelchair or in stretchers into the floor that they need to go to, and I also deliver bloods and stats to Blood Services. I also deliver flowers, and letters to patients.

What they do is they give ballet lessons for different seasons and is this available for people of different age.. I like this Web Site, because I like dancing ballet, and I always like to look for places where I might get some lessons, since they give the lessons in different seasons, then I could go and enroll during the summer when I don't have any other project to do.
BIOGRAPHY:
I'm 16 years old. I'm Filipino and I came here in the United States in 1992 from the Philippines. There are customs and attitudes that I follow because I was raised believing these customs. One of them was that loyalty to family is important. “ Loyalty to the family clan is central to Filipino life. Individualism is less important than the family; it is normal for an individual to sacrifice personal goals to help another family member.”(Encarta 95). I feel that being loyal to your family is the most important thing that a Filipino should know, and for everyone to know. And also, Filipinos go out of their way to help their family members in need. I care a lot about my family and they come first in my life. “Loyalty to the family is fundamental, as is the concept of mutual support and self-sacrifice when the family or a member of it needs help.” (Encarta 95). My parents raised me believing in family importance and that a persons family comes first when they need assistance or help. “Particular respect is shown to more senior members of the family, and a mother's advice to her children carries considerable weight,”(Encarta 95), my mother was always telling to give respect to my grandparents and to them. My mother also told me to give respect to those people I don't even know who are older than me. My grandmother told me never to talk back to my parents when they're giving me lectures because parents knows best. “Approximately 83 percent of the population belongs to the Roman Catholic Church,”(Encarta 95), my whole family is Catholic and we go to a Catholic church, because church-going plays an important part in Filipino life, but “most of the inhabitants of the Philippines are Christian,” and I started believing in Christianity when I came here in the United States, because I've heard about Christianity in the Philippines, but never paid attention to it. I'm still a Catholic, but I believe now more in Christianity.
INTERESTS:
The things that are of interest to me are dancing, reading mystery books, watching horror movies and just going to the mall with my family and friends. I also like swimming, playing basketball , and running track.
