Lecture Class

Professor Pamela Ralston

During the six week summer session, the students attended a "college like" lecture class where they studied Comparative Literature. The last three weeks was taught by Pamela. Under her direction, the students read and studied short pieces of literature to learn how to analyze and think critically.

Pamela described the classroom atmosphere as "charged with interest." She enjoyed the enthusiasm of the students and also enjoyed playing jazz for them. The students especially enjoyed reading and discussing James Baldwin's Sonny's Blues.
