-What are your interests (hobbies, talents)?

I am completing my doctorate in Comparative Literature, and my areas of emphasis include American Ethnic Studies, 19th- century American European literature and cultural studies.

- Had you ever planned to be a part of a program such as this?

No, I had originally planned to be a teacher in a high school, but I wound up liking the university so much. When I came to the university, I became apart of this program.

- What do you enjoy most about the students here at Upward Bound?

They have great insight to literature and the real world and have amazed me with their ability to think critically about both.

-How long have you been a part of this program?

First year.

-What is your favorite food?
