Trigonometry
Instructor: Debra Reeve
Students will research and discuss Euclid and Euclidean geometry as a deductive system, reviewing concepts of triangle similarity and congruence. They will work with the concept of geometric means as it relates to the perpendicular bisectors of right triangles, and will explore the special relationships of the 30-60-90 and isosceles right triangles. Students will also work with trigonometric functions of acute angles and trig tables, solving applications involving right triangles. They will then be introduced to trigonometric functions involving any angle, and the circular functions, and will learn to graph the trig functions.
