Life Elsewhere in the Universe
Instructor: Mike Steffancin

In Mike's class, the students investigated Astrobiology from the perspective of an Astronomer and Physicist. They also looked at how Astronomers study our galaxy by examining the light from stars and planets. The students also discussed the evidence of extra-solar planets along with the conditions necessary for liquid water on those planets. They also studied how Astronomers use parallax to measure the distance to stars and the difficulties involved with space travel.
