Thoughts On Upward Bound

What is it like being around high school students vs. college students?

The high school students have a lot more energy and tend to be more open-minded. On the other hand, college students are intensely devoted.

How did you get involved in Upward Bound and why?

Marciano, a former UB instructor, asked me if I would be interested. I was interested, talked to Karen, and was hired.

What is your fondest memory in Upward Bound so far?

The week that the students built their computers was great! I loved teaching that!

How do you motivate yourself at work?

I like the work! It makes it easier to be motivated.

Besides working for UB, what are some of your hobbies?

Reading, physics, math, and other nerdy things.

If you were an Upward Bound student, how helpful would it have been for your college career?

UB students get more opportunities than I had. Thus, I would have known more going in to college!
