Thoughts On Upward Bound

 

What is it like being around high school students vs. college students?

High school students aren't as serious as college students. That is good and bad. Good in that class is fun. Bad in that it's hard to keep students focused on the subject. College students tend to be very motivated to do well.

How did you get involved in Upward Bound and why?

I work at the IC with Byron and heard they needed a Science Instructor.

What is your fondest memory in Upward Bound so far?

The field trip to Camp Colman.

How do you motivate yourself at work?

I set goals and give myself rewards for accomplishing them.

Besides working for UB, what are some of your hobbies?

Mountain biking, Ultimate Frisbee, and Working Out.

If you were an Upward Bound student, how helpful would it have been for your college career?

          Tremendous. It would have given me confidence that I could succeed in college.
