Research and Writing for Presentation

In Donna's section, her class is learning how to research for projects. Their goal is to look up useful information for projects such as ThinkQuest.
What are you teaching?
This summer I'm teaching Research and Writing for Presentation.
Why do you like teaching your subject?
I like this because it combines presentation, technology (Power Point and Front Page), research and writing-- it's a challenge to integrate them all!
How long have you been teaching?
I've been teaching with UB since 1989
What is it so significant to teach at Upward Bound?
Students who don't normally get quality educational opportunities will get more of that in Upward Bound. UB levels the playing field of academic preparation.
What do you like about the students?
I like UB students because they are diverse, down to earth, hard working and smart to top it off! Some students are facing incredible odds in their personal lives, but they hang in there and make it to achieve their academic goals and success in their lives.
