describe the structure of the class? What tactics do you use to
teach the material? Are there any special projects or activities?
Group discussions, readings with comprehension
checks/tests, review of statistics, essay writing, lectures.
4.How
does this class help prepare the students for college?
Helps start the students portfolio
of documents needed for college and scholarship search: academic
resume, college essays, letters to admission officers, letters requesting
recommendation, letters to scholarship foundations and generic scholarship
applications.
Gives student an "inside"
look at the college admission process.
5.Describe
the overall participation in the classroom?
Students tend to have a lot of questions
in the class.
