| Meteorological Hazards
This lecture will have two main goals. The first is to review the lecture material and help the students more effectively take and make use of their lecture notes. The second is to introduce students to the underlying physical, chemical, and biological principles responsible for producing the earths weather climate. With this background, they will be able to understand and critically evaluate meteorological hazards. Students will have an opportunity to do a number of hands- on activities to explore phenomena as how thunderstorms and lightning form and how tornados are generated. They will also use Internet to research meteorological processes and the causes and consequences of severe weather.
