1. Describe your education history (starting from high school).

I went to St.Mary’s International School in Tokyo, Japan for ninth grade. Then Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology 10th – 12th grade (in Alexandria, VA). Received a BA in Math from Carleton College in Northfield, MN. And then received my Master Degree in Teaching from UW.

2. Why did you want to teach? And what inspired you?

I coached ultimate Frisbee for four years and loved it. Coaching is like teaching, but pays even less, if you can believe it. So I decided to be a teacher.

3. What do you teach?

High School Math

4. If it wasn’t for teaching what would you do?

I’d either be a store mason or a statistician.

5. What is your favorite quote?

“Why die with $20 in your pocket?”

6. What do you do on your free time?

Play ultimate Frisbee.

7. What places have you been?

Every state but Hawaii, plus Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, France, England, Ireland and Australia.

8. If you were a monkey what kind of monkey would you be?

I’d be a gorilla. Chill but tough.
