- How long have you been working with the Upward Bound Program?
Has it really been eight years? Time flies..... Before that, I worked with
an Upward Bound Program at Columbia College in Chicago for a few years.
- What is your position in the Upward Bound Program?
Officially it's the Technology and Science Coordinator. In reality, I'm a Science and Computer teacher and (one of the) resident computer geek(s). I try and keep everything working so other folks can do their jobs.
- What is your favorite color?
The blue color that you only find inside of glacier ice.
- What do you do for fun when you not working?
Anything in the mountains: climbing, skiing, biking, hiking, kayaking, photography....
- What is your greatest fear?
Of someday losing my ability to think.
- What makes you happy?
Positive kind people, mountain air and remote places, watching people succeed and get empowered, raspberries
- What makes you sad?
Negative mean people, city air and traffic, people that are stuck and fooling themselves or others, peanut butter

- How long have you been working with the Upward Bound Program?
This is my first year joining the Upward Bound faculty and so far it has been a great experience for me. I am so impressed with the students enthusiasm and support spread anogst each other due to the program.
- What is your position in the Upward Bound Program?
I instruct one of the elective courses within the program. I teach a hip hop dance class, this course is designed to explore the art form of urban dance, it's expression, choreographic movement, rythmn and performance.
- What is your favorite color?
I'm like a cameleon when it comes to colors, especially in clothing, but you can usually find me in someting green!
- What do you do for fun when you not working?
Dance! Dance is my fun, to me my job isn't work to me, so I am having fun all the time. I'll stop working when dance stops being fun! Or I'll stop dancing when my body doesn't work anymore!
- What is your greatest fear?
My greatest fear is GOD, he knows all the answers past, present and future! I am blessed to wake up to another day....to dance!
- What makes you happy?
There are lot of things that make me happy but one thing that sticks out in my mind are other peoples happiness, when my family is happy, my friends, co-workers, students, a smile from a stranger, those are the best feelings of happiness for me and ice cream!

Negativity!

- How long have you been working with the Upward Bound Program?
This is my twelfth summer. I’ve also worked part time for Upward Bound during the regular school year for three or four nonconsecutive years.
- What is your position in the Upward Bound Program?
I am the technology instructor, which means that I teach the technical part of web design. Fourth period I teach the web magazine class and fifth period I teach the Trio ThinkQuest class.
- What is your favorite color?
Aqua-blue. It reminds me of the reefs in Maui that are breathtakingly beautiful.
- What do you do for fun when you not working?
I like to read, tinker with computers, make fractals as art…
- What is your greatest fear?
I went through some financially difficult times so I don’t have as much money devoted to retirement as I would like. Thus my fear is that I will be forced into an early impoverished retirement.
- What makes you happy?
Spending time with family and friends, listening to music, accomplishing something difficult…
- What makes you sad?
Seeing the people who deserve to be in charge discredited by those who do not deserve to be in charge.
