1. If you were a cartoon character who would you be and why?
Casper the Friendly Ghost - I'm sure the UB kids are laughing at this one. When I'm not getting on your cases for poor choices you've made, (because I want you to be the best that you can be) I'm actually fun loving and want to be friendly and helpful to all.
2. What's a unique, interesting or goofy hobby that you have
In this day and age I'm finding out that the art of sewing is dying out because
all the fabric stores are closing. I learned how to sew in the sixth grade out
of my passion for fashion and having no money. My family didn't have a lot of
money to buy clothes so my grandfather bought me a sewing machine and I taught
myself how to sew the latest fashions at a fraction of the cost by following
pattern directions. By the ninth grade I was tailoring suits.
3. How are you culturally diverse?
Growing up in an ethnically diverse family and living in very diverse neighborhoods in Seattle has enabled me to learn so much about the beauty and similarities of many different cultures. I am a child of Civil Rights activists parents who taught me to be proud to be a Filipino American (I'm brown and I'm proud!)and to embrace and respect all people and cultures. |
