1. If you were a cartoon character who would you be and why?
Don't
really know...I identify with many of them, it's rather hard
to pick just one, but I get a kick out of Pepe LaPew. He's
just out there, clueless about how he's perceived by the people
he interacts with. Other characters in the cartoon world think
he stinks to high heavens, but he's so clueless, he thinks
the disdain is a sign of love.
2. What's a unique, interesting
or goofy hobby that you have?
I
don't have unique or goofy hobbies...just normal stuff: gardening,
cooking, baking, crocheting, sewing, arts & crafts. I read
a lot; try to finish a book a week. I used to do a lot of acrylic
and oil painting, but haven't had the time lately. I used
to write poetry a lot...when I was younger. As I got older,
the poetry drifted away, now, I just cuss. I used to go out
dancing a lot when I was young...now, I can only choreograph
combinations in my head. It gets so boring even I fall asleep.
I come from a family of serious cooks and bakers...our family
get-togethers are virtually cooking competitions. Goofy hobby?
I write love letters to my daughter which I hope she finds
when I'm no longer here. I just want her to know that I will
slay dragons for her.
3.
How are you culturally diverse?
My
family and extended family members make up a virtual United
Nations. That allows us to appreciate, not just tolerate, many
cultural groups, ethnic groups, and histories. We share generational
interests as well, so that I listen to the music of my grandparents
but appreciate very much the music that my 24-year old daughter
listens to. When my daughter was younger, we used to play a
game where we allowed our musical tastes to speak to each
other. For instance, I would play a Jazz standard where the
final line was, "were you the one that got away?" She
will then respond by playing Tupac's "Can you get away?"...Yeah,
maybe we just have too much time on our hands...
