What does Upward Bound mean to you? How has it changed you overall?
Exploration. Together the students, myself, and two co-teachers have explored buildings, landscapes, construction sites, and art installations. Each place we visit is new to atleast one person in the room. We are learning Seattle together.
What influenced/inspired you to become a teacher?
During college, I had the opportunity to work as a teacher at the National Building Museum in Washington DC. Each friday I taught field trip groups from local elementary schools about city design. I was and continue to be inspired by the creativity students and teachers can share when they collaborate on an exciting project. |

What do you enjoy doing during your free time?
Cooking, walking, working on creative projects (sewing, weaving, knitting), reading, watching movies, hanging out with friends.
What is your favorite color? Why?
Orange. It is bright and mixes well with lots of colors.
What is one weird fact about you that we don't know right off the bat?
I once worked at the White House. |
